Hi! My name is Ashley Wheeler, and I am a fifth grade ELA teacher at Shady Spring Elementary. I am a mom of two teenage boys, and as a family we love to travel and experience new cultures. In my free time I love to read and write. Currently, I have two books available at Tamarack and on Amazon!

Teaching Philosophy
My teaching style is very student centered. I strive to connect all material to students' personal lives in order to make the curriculum more meaningful. I am most passionate about ensuring my students feel heard and understanded and are provided the support and structure needed in order to thrive as students and excel as individuals.
